Capital Improvements

Assess site-specific electrical system limitations/deficiencies, develop concept design for upgrade alternatives, outline technical scope of work, develop budgetary estimates, collaborate with stakeholders and identify best-value engineering solutions for capital improvements, conduct studies and calculations, design and drafting, specifications, procurement support, construction support, testing, commissioning, training, and O&M support.

Service Connections

Assess customer’s needs, identify best interconnection points, collaborate with customers to define scope of work and budgetary estimates, create material specifications, and develop site plans and construction drawings. 

Protective Relaying and Controls

Design protective relaying schemes, retrofit or upgrade existing electromechanical relays with digital relays, develop relay settings and control logics, conduct function testing of protective elements, logic, inputs/outputs, communications, and automation functions.

Automation

Design and implement substation and distribution system automation schemes including communications architecture, networks, and automation settings, program, test and commission automation controllers, managed switches, software-defined network (SDN) switches, and programmable logic controllers.

SCADA Systems

Design SCADA architectures, communication networks, data point lists, and IT configurations such as servers, firewalls, security gateways, program and configure SCADA software to include human-machine interfaces (HMIs), data historian and visualization, alarms management, metering, monitoring, and control interfaces.

ADMS Systems

Integrate outage management systems (OMS), distribution management systems (DMS), fault location, isolation, and system restoration (FLISR), distribution SCADA, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) to create advanced distribution management system (ADMS).

Specifications and Procurement Support

Develop detailed technical specifications of electrical construction, electrical apparatuses, relays and controls, automation systems, SCADA, ADMS components, conduct vendor qualifications and technical bid evaluations to support procurement process.

Construction Support

Conduct factory acceptance testing, provide construction management, perform field inspections, and support requests for information (RFI) that require interpretation of engineering design and construction drawings.
