Fort Riley Substation Relay Replacement
When CLP took over the system ownership at Fort Riley in 2018, 10 out of 13 substations had old electromechanical relays and some of them were out of calibration. Between 2019 to 2021, CLP Engineering has replaced all the electromechanical relays with advanced digital relays and upgraded the breaker control DC power system to new batteries and chargers. CLP Engineers worked with the field crew and completed all the control wiring upgrades, relay programming, testing, commissioning, and as-built drawings updates for the project.
