Mr. Shaffer is the new Engineering Director for CLP Engineering. He leads engineering teams for design projects from small service upgrades to large multi-million dollar design and construction projects. Mr. Shaffer is responsible for all engineering aspects of the project including conceptual design, equipment and material specifications, construction documents, system studies and analysis, relaying and field commissioning as well as engineering project management. He started his career in 2005 and joined CLPE in 2017. Prior to joining CLPE, Mr. Shaffer worked in the consulting business in many different industries including power generation, oil and gas, government and utilities. He has a thorough understanding of the technical concepts for distribution and substation engineering and design, the National Electrical Safety Code, and the National Electrical Code. He is a professional engineer in the state of Colorado and excels in leading teams for project execution and developing customer relationships.
