As a sister company of City Light & Power, CLP Engineering provides a full range of engineering services to our utility privatization systems across the United States. Currently, CLP owns and operates electrical distribution systems at ten military installations in the US. The privatized systems include transmission, substations, and distribution systems within the installations. Each system is very similar to a city and includes similar load types such as commercial, industrial, airfield, shopping complexes, schools, hospitals, and residential customers.

CLP Engineering has a deep understanding of military and other government-owned utility systems including design requirements, operation constraints, maintenance practices, planning processes and funding methods. We are uniquely positioned to support other Government customers who need engineering support for their electrical utility systems, energy engineering, fleet electrification, and microgrid initiatives. CLPE is equipped to provide services that range from high-level system planning, minor retrofits, system modeling and studies, to turn-key design and build of any electrical and energy system upgrades required for Government-owned electrical systems.
